You are a chocolate croissant

Children sometimes have those wonderfully profound comments. For example, I am often inspired by my 6-year-old daughter who compares people with chocolate croissants.

"Because," she explains, "crumbles are always falling off croissants, just like people who, by looking closely at themselves, release less good habits." I find that a very nice comparison: dropping old patterns, such as the crumbs of a sandwich.

She continues: "Then you end up with the tastiest piece, the chocolate. And when you have released all the unpleasant things from yourself, you also end up with the best piece of yourself."

Yes, exactly! I think. A chocolate croissant as a symbol for personal transformation. Taoism teaches that when you let go of your learned patterns and ways of thinking, you end up with your pure, own energy, the yuan-ki or your inner diamond. When you are in contact with this, it feels powerful, pleasant and unique. Various physical exercises and meditations in Do-In are aimed at this.

However, sometimes exercises are not necessary. One simple and catchy example, such as this one from the chocolate croissant, can also help you realize which crumbs you can now drop to reach your core and enjoy it.
