A leaf of your ginkgo tree

About a year ago I received a strange package by mail. A black plastic planter with an apparently dead stick in it. On a note, I read "Ginkgo, Japanese walnut".

For days I wondered who the sender of the mysterious package was. Until I received an email in which a student referred to the ginkgo:

"I see you as the ginkgo, Lilian," she wrote. "And I like to be a leaf of your tree that spreads what you have taught me."

A beautiful image. We are now one year further. The Ginkgo survived last winter and has grown considerably. The time is almost ripe for this year's leaves to drop off. The next load of students is ready for the Do-In Academy exam, and what top Do-In teachers they will be!
